The Flow Cytometry Competence Center (CFC) within the Luxembourg Biomedical Research Resources (LBR2) at CRP-Santé is a shared core resource facility that is available to assist researchers with flow cytometry experimental design, data acquisition, cell sorting, and data analysis. The CFC is an open facility accessible to all scientists at CRP-Santé as well as external researchers.
The CFC is equipped with a state-of-the art FACSAria cell sorter and a FACSCanto analyzer. The CFC is available to provide the following expertise (additional flow cytometry techniques not listed here may be implemented upon request):

The Flow Cytometry core laboratory was developed in 2004 under the direction of Rene Brons. With over 38 years of experience in flow cytometry, Mr. Brons has continually updated the Flow Cytometry facility with state-of-the-art equipment. In 2012 a collaboration is established between the CFC and the Nancytometrie platform in Nancy (Fr) which favours the use of the ImageStream. Mr. Brons has also led the laboratory with over 35 publications in internationally recognized scientific journals.
The Core Facility Cytometry (CFC) is the centralized flowcytometry service of the Centre Recherche Public de la Santé (CRP-Santé) in Luxembourg. Established in 2005, the CFC assists researchers with flowcytometry experimental design, data acquisition, cell sorting and data analysis. Currently the CFC is equipped with a FACSAria cell sorter and a FACSCanto analyser. The CFC is an open facility accessible for personnel from CRP-Santé as well as external researchers.

FACSCanto
The FacsCanto is a 6 color analyzer, suitable for running carousels for upto 40 samples. This flowcytometer is relative easy to operate. Use the “Canto multicolor scheme” for choosing the correct fluorochromes. Alternative fluorchromes might be usefull. Check the FACSCanto standard configuration and the excitation and emission spectra of the alternative fluorchrome for compatibility. Additional filters and lenses are available at the CFC for a custom configuration. Contact René Brons for further information.
FACSAria SORP
The FACSAria SORP is a 4, laser,14 color cell sorter, capable of generating 4 sort streams. The collection can be done in various tubes or plates. The complexity of the Aria requires a skilled operator for use. Use the “Aria multicolor scheme” for choosing the correct fluorochromes. Alternative fluorchromes might be useful. Check the Aria standard configuration and the excitation and emission spectra of the alternative fluorchrome for compatibility.
