2011 - 12 - 07 Attracting students, strengthening collaborations:
On November 28, 2011, CRP-Santé was invited by the “Structure Fédérative de Recherche (SFR)” that regroups the University of Reims-Champagne Ardenne (URCA) and the University Picardie Jules Vernes of Amiens. This meeting was the logical follow up of the partnership signed earlier this year between CRP-Santé and the University of Reims. The goal of this meeting was to present the research carried out in the various laboratories, strengthen scientific collaboration and discuss funding opportunities for joined research projects, and reaffirm the aspiration of CRP-Santé to integrate a greater research structure and participate to its PhD and Masters student’s programs.

The URCA and the University Picardie Jules Vernes are indeed founder members of the PRES (Pôle Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur), a structure that will regroup the research efforts of Champagne-Ardenne, Picardie and Wallonia. The visit program included general presentations of CRP-Santé and the SFR, followed by short summaries of the major research axes of these Institutions. A poster session gathering 40 posters also took place that was followed by selected oral presentations. The meeting was a great success, gathering together close to a hundred scientists from Luxembourg, Reims and Amiens. Several areas of research were identified that could lead to strong collaboration
