BBC11 will be a great opportunity to interact with public and private sector researchers from this region and beyond. Luxembourg for Business, an initiative by the Ministry of the Economy and Foreign Trade, will take part in the conference's opening. BBC11 will deliver a cross-disciplinary scientific program of oral and poster presentations, as well as other opportunities to explore innovative ideas.

In this sixth edition, the conference will once again foster the advancement of research and learning in bioinformatics and interrelated disciplines, and their wide-ranging applications in health and biotechnologies. A key theme of BBC11 is “Bioinformatics: Enabling Translational Biomedical Research”.

BBC11 received 107 abstracts for oral and poster presentations by authors based in 14 countries and 3 continents. We are also honoured to welcome 4 world-class guest speakers:

  • Thomas Lengauer , Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik, Saarbrücken, Germany
  • Burkhard Rost , Technical University Munich, Germany
  • Peter van der Spek , Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
  • Ioannis Xenarios , Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and Vital-IT, Lausanne, Switzerland.
