This morning an international workshop on TCM was opened at CRP-Santé in the presence of his Excellency, Ambassador Zeng Xianqi from China and representatives from the Luxembourg Ministry of Higher Education and Research and of the National Research Fund in Luxembourg.
CRP-Santé collaborates with partners in Beijing and Shanghai for two years already in a European FP7 project, aiming at discovering drugs derived from TCM. Today’s workshop, will allow scientists from China, Luxembourg and Norway to review results obtained from their collaborative research and set new goals for the next two years of partnership. They will also look together into new opportunities in cancer research provided by novel technological developments in genomics and proteomics. The ongoing collaboration project between Europe and China allows scientists to travel to partner institutions to perform part of their research work in a new, stimulating environment and to exchange their knowledge. It is coordinated on the Luxembourg side by Dr. André Steinmetz and Dr. Ning Wang from CRP-Santé.
