Six month ago Firalis - based in Huningue, France- discovered the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Research headed by Dr. Daniel Wagner and co-headed by Dr. Yvan Devaux thanks to the patents and peer-reviewed journal articles published by the research unit. Since 2003, Dr. Wagner, Medical Doctor at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) and at the Institut National de chirurgie Cardiaque et de Cardiologie Interventionnelle (INCCI) has been indeed conducting research on heart failure. In order to better diagnostic issues and complications after heart failure, the research unit has worked on new clinical tools of measures. On his side, Firalis team has expertise in the discovery and development of biomarkers especially the development of diagnostic kits for enabling the improvement of disease outcomes, the increase of patient comfort and for better therapeutic decisions.
By associating CRP-Santé to Firalis, Luxembourg is from now on, involved in the creation of measuring tools allowing the short term improvement of patients' treatment. Furthermore, Firalis has acquired a leading position by establishing a unique network of clinical centers of excellence for conducting clinical biomarker qualification studies.
