- "Science invited in the kitchen" headed by Christelle Ghoneim from the Microarray Center . The workshop has especially attracted children and cooking fans who learned to prepare chocolate spaghetti and eggs based on mango juice and coco milk, all these experiments linked to scientific processes.
- "What is stress,?" conducted by Jonathan Turner, from the Department of Immunology based on different stress tests used in the department
- And "The cell that wanted to become immortal" proposed by Amandine Bernard from the Norlux Neuro-Oncology Laboratory . The workshop was based on a comic produced by Amandine explaining cancer and cancer-related research efforts. The comic is already very popular with teachers, schools and the general public. It will soon be available at CRP-Santé in German, Luxembourgish, Portuguese and English.
CRP-Santé will organize a photo exhibition in December 2011 at its two main sites (the Modular Building (BAM), 84, Val Fleuri and the administration building, 1, rue Edison) presenting a selection of pictures from these 3 workshops. You will have the opportunity to discover the buzzying atmosphere of the Science Festival and all volunteers from CRP-Santé explaining research and science to children and the public at large.
Further details will be provided soon.
