2011 - 08 - 12 Stephanie Wolter, bachelor student at the Department of Immunology has been awarded the prize for the best bachelor thesis in Medical Biology in Belgium
Department of Immunology (LNSI). Stephanie Wolter, bachelor student at the Department of Immunology and at the Institut Paul Lambin , which belongs to the Haute Ecole Léonard de Vinci, Université Catholique de Louvain has been awarded with this years pize of the Association Belge de Technologues Laboratoire (ABTL) for the best thesis in medical biology in Belgium.
The jury of ABTL has recommended Stephanie Wolter for this prize based on the high quality of her final thesis and on her excellent technical and academic performance. The title of her thesis is “Tick-borne Pathogens in Belarus” and was performed under the guidance of Anna Reye and Prof. Dr. Claude P. Muller, Head of the Department of Immunology. Her work will be part of a scientific publication, which will soon be submitted. The final grade of the bachelor of Stephanie Wolter is 17/20 (grande distinction).
Stephanie Wolter accepted the offered position at the Department of Immunology and will continue to work on biomarkers of Lyme Borreliosis.
