2011 - 05 - 18 Visit of Technion: Israel Institute of Technology

From May 1st  to May 4, 2011, Dr. Jean-Claude Schmit, CEO of CRP-Santé took part in the annual mission of Technion France Association entitled “Innovation Highlight – A la pointe du progrès”. The mission was held in Israel, Tel Aviv, at the Israel Institute of Technology and was an opportunity to meet with leaders from major companies in the field of technology as well as the entire Technion group.

The delegation visited:

-    Yahoo and Intel companies

-    Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine which is one of four state sponsored medical schools in Israel. It was founded in 1969 and is active in basic science research and preclinical medical training in anatomy, biochemistry, biophysics, immunology, microbiology, physiology, and pharmacology. The Bruce and Ruth Rappaport Faculty of Medicine offers medical training leading to the M.D. degree to qualified American and Canadian graduates of pre-med programs under the Technion American Medical Students Program

-    Agency in charge of economic development in Haifa

-    Technion, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering

-    Visit of the JVP Medias Quarter in Jerusalem

Technion is the first Israel University in the field of Science and Technology. Created in 1924, Technion, whose founder was Albert Einstein, provides masters or post-doctoral fellows with an opportunity to be involved in research programs located in 19 faculties composing Technion Israel.

The Technion has just been rewarded with the “best Israel University” award by Israelian students. Thanks to its variety of programs and to its international level of excellence, Technion aims to make Israelian students and foreign students interested in science and state of the art technologies.
