QUANTIFICATION AND COUNTING
Quantification: in order to get more information from the pictures, it is possible to quantify fluorescence using Metamorph (Molecular Devices) or ImageJ.
In this example, the quantity of fluorescence contained in the actin filaments has been measured in two different conditions of cytoplasmic pH.

Counting: it is possible to recognize individual objects (or cells), count, and measure size, volume... with Imaris (Bitplane) or ImageJ.
