THE CONFOCAL SYSTEM
The confocal system is a LSM510 META from Zeiss
The microscope allows imaging from single plane in one colour to stacks in multicolour and over time. Main applications are immuno-fluorescence observations, GFP localisation, 3D reconstruction, timelapse, FRAP, etc.... Spectral deconvolution is also possible thanks to the META module; a multichannel detector which allows dyes with overlapping spectra to be sorted into separate images by means of digital deconvolution algorithms.
● For detection, the system is composed of two channels; a third META detector and an extra-channel for brightfield illumination.
● The system is available with heating and CO2 control for timelapse experiments.
● Multi-location timelapse are possible.
● Fluorescent Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP)
● Laser lines:
- UV diode: 405 nm
- Argon: 458, 476, 488 and 514 nm
- HeNe1: 543 nm
- HeNe2: 633mm
