Natural Killer Cells

Jacques Zimmer, senior scientist in the Laboratory of Immunogenetics and Allergology (LIGA), has edited a scientific book entitled “Natural Killer Cells: at the Forefront of Modern Immunology”. The book has just been published by Springer. Natural killer cells are important players in the immune defense against infections and tumors and recently emerged also as a regulatory cell type able to control the intensity of an immune response

The book provides up-to-date information about most aspects of NK cell biology, including rarely reviewed and/or emerging topics like for example NK cells and allergies or NK cells and the skin. The majority of the chapters have been written by international leaders in the field.
